Does it have a roll cage and a turbo at least?

It does have a turbo, but only 3 cylinders :p

It’s the new MK8 Fiesta ST. The high price is thanks to Danish taxes... Anyway I am super exited to have my first enthusiast car!

Ah, taxes. That'll do it.

I hadn't heard about the new one, probably because Ford has decided cars are stupid for the US.

That is correct, US will not be getting the MK8. They have just recently started selling them here. I should be one of the first in Denmark to get one with the limited slip differential.

Three cylinders in cars are tantamount to communism. That and they see the writing on the wall for anything not high performance, specialist, or fitted with plastic cladding and an extra inch of ground clearance (looking at you ecosport) :p

That should make for a very fun car.

One to hundred cylinders, I don't care. Does it drive nicely and put a grin on your face? That's all that matters.

This.

To me the 3-cylinder just gives the car character. And it sounds awesome!

An inline three has been used for decades in motorcycles for it's predictable power delivery. The power band is pretty close to a V4 and it feels nearly as smooth; I recently rode my brother's new Yamaha FZ-09 (MT-09 outside USDM) and it was an absolute giggle and a half.

The only car I've had with 3 cylinders is my old Yaris*. Utterly devoid of any power and sounded like a cement mixer (with a surprisingly fruity exhaust note) but not overly rough. The idle was a bit lumpy but it seemed happy to live at the redline for every mile I drove in it...

*Briefly the Dolomite 1300 when a rocker arm snapped.
