Random Thoughts (Political Edition)

Calling it a bipartisan bill is technically correct, but only 13 Republicans voted for it. This is still pretty much opposed by most Republicans.

Still no reason for people to act out like this.

Are they reasonable, or just RINOs?

Will it really matter on the eyes of the populace at large? Is the definition of RINO anything other than "he stands for whatever we don't this week"? Is that even worth it when that "we" is different for every single member?

Yes they are reasonable or yes they are Rino's? Why don't you answer the question and see if he agrees with you?

lol fair enough, the question is so far up-thread that i completely blanked on whether it was a yes/no... i'd just assumed the yes/no was regarding RINO (i.e. yes = rino, no = reasonable).

Governor Abbott called on the the Texas Education Agency, State Board of Education and Texas’ library and archives commission to develop standards to abolish the presence of "pornography and other obscene content" in schools. The agencies said they would comply.

Abbott did not list what material is considered pornography or inappropriate in his letter, but he previously pointed to two books recently removed from school libraries. One is titled, "Gender Queer: a Memoir" by Maia Kobabe. The other removed book is titled "In the Dream House" by Carmen Maria Machado, which described sex acts.

This is likely connected to the moral panic in Virginia over exposing children to the book Beloved by Toni Morrison. Rape featured in Ayn Rand still considered wholesome.

Someone is going to get very hurt by these morons.

Example of "child pornography" according to Texas School Districts and Abbott

This shit is going to get dangerous real quick!

This is insanity. I thought we'd progressed past this sort of rhetoric.

I wonder if he really believes that, or if he is just pandering to the crowd. Dangerous either way.
