Indeed it is. Every settlement Israel builds on occupied land makes it harder to reconcile with the Palestinian people, and the longer Israel takes doing that, the higher the chance Israel will perish. And I don't want that.It would be a good start for a relaxation and would take a lot of tension out of the whole situation, if Israel would finally cut back on their ruthless settling policy. It's overdue.
So it's in Israel's interest to kill off settlement building. And more importantly, it's the right thing to do. But that won't persuade anyone important, so I try to stick to it being in Israel's interest. And it is, it really is.
