Is HD really worth the extra hard drive space?

At the minute i'm sticking with the SD rips, my reasoning is... do I really need to watch the Eagle Hammerthrust in HD?
 
I think it depends on the episode.

Geoff: maybe not, save for that Audi/Corvette review in the middle. That one bit was really pretty.
 
Here's a Random Thought that is vaguely TG related.

All men over 30 secretly have the hots for at least one female newsreader.

ah yes, James is my favorite. He definitely stays.
 
If i may complain, I don't like the fact that the SD rips are from the HD rip... I don't want no watermarks.

There should be a 'Top Gear: Anorak edition'.
You know, lots of James May in front of blackboards & close ups of car bits with serial number & relivence thereof.
Lots of old stuff is OK too.
No tyre smoke.

Unless you have a reaaaaally tiny screen, HELLZ yes.
I'd say go with the 720p ones though, the size is "only" double that of the SD ones and the quality is MUCH better
1080i looks almost the same to me

Don't see why not. The car came off pretty well and I'm guessing they had to buy it in order to trash it.
