Just discovered that both of my parents are green card holders and that I may be eligible to get one myself. I might apply to be somewhat/semi/part/kind-of 'Murican.

They will want money, they always want money.

Not a damn thing.

I guess I should restate, never. It's more like rarely. Last drink was a swig of some apple pie everclear about two months ago.

I'm not much of a fan of most beer either. Had a few darker ones with a much more robust taste tthat were pretty good, but in general I just don't care for it. Instead, I'll go for champagne. For whatever reason I find that much better. I catch some flack for it from people who think it's a sissy drink, but when I point out it typically has 2-3 times the alcohol content (usually 14-17%) of most beers and I've been known to easily drink three quarters of a bottle by myself it works out to several beers equivalent. Now I want some champagne. Bah.

The alcohol I feel like is generally based on the weather, on a scorching hot day you can't go wrong with a cool beer but in winter a red wine or scotch can't be beat.

You've never had Buffalo Wild Wings ranch then. I'd heat that stuff in a spoon and inject it straight into my blood stream.

Everything I've had at BWW is butt turrible. Zero chance of that.

(I like my buffalo wings with sauce on them. Yes, all of them.)

...

Ooh! Ooh! I get to go to Fisher-Price (it's the Puffalump Pilgrimage!) and we'll probably be up near Buffalo.

PUFFALUMPS!!! But really, where's the best el scorcho de bunghole joint?

Huh...I'm as surprised as you all, but Moooi has decided to discontinue one of their chairs:

I kid you not...it's the "Dickie" chair.

Yup. Discontinued. Hard to imagine why.

By the same company that brought you such outrageously-popular products as:

the 8ft tall Horse Lamp:
moooi-horse-lamp.jpeg

and the Extension chair...which might be an interesting idea if it didn't tip over the instant you hung a coat on it...

How do some of these companies stay in business?

Does anyone of you know the "interior blog" (read: "style snob showoff blog") "Freunde von Freunden"?
They will visit my boss in the near future, who thus started redecorating, putting the TV set in storage and so on and so on.... Cue Senator Vreenak.

In the right context, "Freunde von Freunden" might appreciate a horse lamp.

I've been on photoshoots of homes for magazine spreads, and for corporate offices. The people having it photographed will bring in all sorts of props.

In one, the guy wanted to show off the fireplace. It wasn't functional. Still, we had to fill up the log holder (but strategically placing paper under the wood so it wouldn't get the leather dirty) and starting a fire in the fireplace for just a few seconds at a time; just enough to get a photo, before we had to put it out and wait for the smoke to dissipate.
