Random Thoughts....

Teenagers are exhausting. That is all.

They are indeed. I find viagra and a protein shake beforehand solve the problem.

Finally got the snow blower I wanted! My dad fixed his old and wanted to trade. Fine by me.

Can't do that in a modern station wagon, can you? :D

This'll sound crazy for a introvert (with a capital I!) like myself, but I'm seriously considering going to a concert for the first time ever. alone. 0_0

Part of me feels like it'll be another push for social situation exposure and part of me just really wants to do something I've never done.

Also, oddly enough, it (the fact that I've been listening to this genre for so long intermittently-and recently rediscovering it hence the desire to see a show) represented/represents a major step toward my personal independence: If I didn't start living with my dad, I would have never felt the freedom to consider or even discover it....chances are my Grandma and mom would not have approved/would have looked at me funny so any attempts to actually discover things on my own would have been squashed.

It's small yes, but a big deal. Everyone says it's fine but I hope that I won't chicken out or get too awkward. The distance is far though..far enough where I'd either take a half day or come in early to leave early at work in order to see them.

As to why I have to go alone - none of my close friends like them lol.

Nice! That has a tailgate that opens two ways correct?

Today took a turn for the worse when I found out the girl I was going to ask out has a boyfriend. Would have been nice if she had mentioned that in all the times we've talked recently. At least I found out before I asked her out...

Today was supposed to be an easy, low stress one where i could work on finishing up inventory and work orders.

Nope, not gonna happen, the whole department is out except for you + there's a team of whiteboard installers to welcome and monitor.

Did I mention I wasn't given the actual time of installation?

Joy.

The day was boring as hell and I get to repeat it for the next 4 days.

The whiteboard surface installers are largely self sufficient but I have to be there just in case. I really dunno how I'm gonna kill time. At least this time I'll have the laptop charger from the outset so I can keep it and my phone charged...I'll probably tether the two together so I can at least have some internet.

Aside, I'm not going to a concert this month after all...the band I want to see isn't going to be at that particular venue. :(

Out of curiosity : what band? Or is it too embarrassing to publicly say it?

Install Age of Empires 1 or 2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon.

It's the "Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber and One Direction trifecta tour."

Nah, its a pop-punk band called Broadside: http://www.victoryrecords.com/broadside

A song of theirs:

Install Age of Empires 1 or 2 and Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Oddly enough, although I am a administrator to my work laptop I haven't really messed with the software on it.

Kinda because I'm in a "I just want this shit to work because I need it!" phase I guess. Lol.

I stayed on Office 2010 for the longest time because of this even though most everyone else in the dept were upgrading to 2013. If it ain't broke why fix it?

Besides with my luck I'd install it only to have our network ops guy find out. We share a office so that would be incredibly awkward.

It wouldn't a good look for the guy who's supposed to be assisting the network ops guy with desktop admin/management workload (and thus ensuring that people aren't doing such things on their computers)

Today wasnt nearly as bad. I vpn'd into the work network via phone tethering and worked on my inventory a bit before being asked to assist with a 2 hour Google Apps training session back on main campus. Score!

Had lunch then return to the whiteboard people and randomly browsed to finish out.

Yeah, but you guys are in prime position to get away with it ;). I'd bring it up anyway man. You know, add some programs to your computer, for the purposes of stress relief. And as we all know a little stress relief greatly increases productivitity.

It does. That's science.

Woke up with a swollen eyelid. Going to give it a few hours to see if the swelling goes down (in case I just slept with my hand on the eyelid or w/e) before I go see a doctor about it.

Postman, you've delivered my amazon box at quarter to seven in the morning....

It's Christmas sweater day in the office on the 14th.

Fortunately I have an old grey sweatshirt at home and a permanent red marker pen....
