Random Thoughts....

I think this thread should be made into a book as well. 'The 20000 most random things you will ever read'. Would be absolutely brilliant.

In other uninteresting news, I got a great new suit yesterday. Bar?njon 3 piece for ?90. Can't remember what it was. Probably about ?150+.

I second that.
Third. IMO, giving out +rep like he did and posting high hardly pissed me off.
Obnoxious? Sure.
Abusive? Hardly. If he dished out -reps and spammed, then yeah.

It may not have been abusive to other members, but it was abuse of the forum - the ban was justified IMHO.

Mmmh, good-ish driver, good-ish businessman, biggest success possibly the "discovery" of Jackie Stewart.. Sure, that's better than your average plumber, but is that really enough to redeem the "Kens"? ;-)

Damn I slept through the 20,000 post, guess there's always the 25,000 to hope for.

How is it abuse of the forum? Is there a rule saying "no repping more than x people per ...."

Today's lesson : Don't keep putting off changing your front tyres when they get low on tread (and drive slower etc.)

Damaged front alloy with very bald tyre and a chunk out of the sidewall.

With my untrained eye I believe I need a new tie-rod (and end) and a wishbone. This will cost about ?300 fitted and tracked. I will probably recondition the alloys myself. I guess I will have to get the side skirt re-sprayed. It is straight and true and the scrape isn't deep.

If it isn't deep I have heard that some of the touch-up kits can give a surprisingly good result (good enough to avoid the cost of a respray and not really visible unless you look close and know where to look).

I haven't actually tried it myself though - just managed to avoid an insurance claim because the guy I hit was happy with the result of that on his brand new car.

I'm bored. You're boring, Random Thoughts!

^How exactly did you do that? Sideswipe a wall after a blowout?

The tyre didn't actually deflate until we were tightening up the ratchet straps on the trailer.
Basically I just under steered on a tight bend that has high rounded kerbs that are designed to stop you mounting the pavement. You can see on the picture of the rear wheel how the scrape moves towards the edge as the kerb tapered down. A damp road and dodgy tyres simply meant that I couldn't carry the same speed through the bend as I normally do.
