Yeah, Amsterdam last year was fun, as was the Ringmeet. And I heard the Finnmeet was mighty fun as well.

That is too bad is the same true of red wing? I haven't bought a work boot from then in a decadeish cause that is long the old ones lasted and I haven't needed another pair.
What I am looking for is sort of a dual use boot. Something that is waterproof and fairly light that I can attach to my snowshoes in the winter and then in the spring or summer use for day hikes with my son. He is only four so we aren't going very far obviously. The farthest we have gone is a bit over a mile in snowshoes, which totally wore him out, and then twoish miles on a regular hike.
I think by this summer he might be ready for an overnight but will have to see how day hikes go.
Speculating on how many people are wondering if Putin brought down MH370 to divert attention from Crimea. ?#?tinfoilhat?
Sixty-five years ago, this vision was laid out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Today, we can?t achieve it without an open, universal Web. The Web enables everyone on the planet to participate in a free flow of knowledge, ideas, collaboration and creativity. And it must be nurtured and protected.
But now the actions of some companies and some governments threaten our fundamental freedoms on the Web.
In the last few years, citizens around the world ? from Finland to Brazil, from Mexico to the USA, from the Philippines to Russia ? have rallied to stop bad laws and build a positive agenda for a Web that empowers all of us. With your help, we can help these movements grow and win victories in every country.
If you're looking at Red Wing's safety toe'd shoes, they're made in both the USA and China. It depends on the model and will state it in the boot's description. I opted against one of the other Chinese made goodyear welted boots in favor of this one which I'm told is still resolable and seems to be well made. Non insulated, but with the oiled upper and stitched tongue, I'll consider water resistant enough for my purposes. On a comfort level, I might go for the dual compound sole version in the future.
Boil water, take bath.
I was about to say, LL Bean is kind of the gold standard as far as outdoorsy boots go.
