RANT: Gas Prices In Georgia

I don't want to hear an american whine, it's much worse up here, and it's WAY worse in Europe...

It's kind of a double whamie at the moment, since both gas and oil production and infrastructure are damaged.
I think there are something like 9 refineries not operating and a number of oil rigs are damaged as well.
On top of that oil pipelines don't have power to be able to pump the oil through them.

Let's not point fingers, the creator of the thread was expressing his disgust in the price gouging, not the overall price of gas around the U.S.

But the thread has gone into a deeper discussion, but personally I really don't care about the gas price, here or otherwise. It would actually be a wakeup call for people that live in the U.S. to feel, like you said, how other countries have it going for them when it comes to prices per litre/gallon.

I ment more like people doing this WHILE THE MAYOR has said there will NOT be a shortage of Gas and people should top fueling up for no reason.

Well, with a number of refinaries and oil rigs down, it's not surprising.
BTW, I paid just over $3 today for premium (1st time ever).
Gas station clerk was joking that he was going to die soon, because someone was probably going to lose it and shoot him.

Be glad it's just gas prices you need to worry about as opposed to, oh I don't know.... not having a home, or, oh I don't know.... your friends and family being dead :p
I just paid 18 dollars to put 5 gallons in my mom's AMG! Ever since the hurricane I have been driving as conservatively as possible so i can milk my cars 30 miles to the premium gallon... :(

prices have risen in Europe too at least here in Finland. It's expected that gas price goes over 1.50 euros/l here soon. (6.9 USD/gallon)

Thats nice an organized, but stupid car makers over here have different sides for the placement of the gas cap, hence there are minor accidents and a lot of disorganization at the gas stations when its busy. For example, on the Volvo its on the passenger side while on the Honda its on the driver's side. Confusing.

Today both our Nissans are running on empty.

$3.02 a gallon...I know, I shouldn't complain because I'm American, but I still remember 10 years ago when we were complaining about $1.09 per gallon. Ahh, those were the days... :wheelchair:

Scary...I think I'll buy a hovercraft instead. And lots of batteries. And a bomb shelter.

Actually its by region...German are on the right and American is on the left, and i think Jap is on the left

For a fleeting moment It was the quickest AMG car you could buy, 0-60 in 4.4 according to motortrend, It is really horrible to drive on the limits, very twitchy and easily upset, but the slightly beefed up SLK looks are kinda cool, Gets me looked at funny all the time, and it makes a pretty cool noise, Supercharger induction howl and all, It's fine, but not my first choice for $60k... my lady friend Megan gets a huge kick out of it though!

BTW, the filler is on the right on it, you know where I put my $3.20/gallon 93 octane :cringe:

What he said...

Yesterday I had to fill up the R32, cost me over 100 (!!) dollars at 7.05 $ a gallon!
Premium has been over 6 dollars a gallon for a long time here!!

Oliver

$4.71 / Gallon for regular here...

that's 87 Octane. It's much more expensive in Germany, but alteast you get some decent fuel.
