Isn't it good that the car is silent at 70mph? Lost of people like that in a car....like the people who buy a rolls royce or something :?
 
It's one thing to be silent, it's another to be isolated, disconnected...
Like Masserati's decision not to put extra layers on their convertibles because there's something romantic about listening to the raindrops on the roof. :)
 
I don't know about you guys but I go crazy driving a Merc, Lexus, or anything that doesn't give you noise or road feedback.

However, there are people like my friends who think all cars should be like that. That's why Merc and Lexus still make cars that suck . . . at least to us.

My uncle bought his first non-German car in his life. It was a Lexus. He said it was the worst car he's ever driven. You'll know why he said that if you knew what he drove in the past! (his first car was a 635csi)

I always say that Mercs and Lexus's are made for people who don't like to drive.
 
who said all mercedes are silent? our 300E sure isnt :p

Heh, reading the comments are funny. People are complaining that he knows nothing, etc etc, and that he's a bigot...and the best yet - he's not a proper car reviewer and obviously knows nothing... :lmao:
