Okay, time to start uploading my Ringmeet 2015 pictures. But first let me say that I personally enjoyed this 2015 Ringmeet more than ever, mostly because this time I had a hotel at walking distance (so I could also drink alcohol) and because I could stay from Thursday to Sunday, which was a first for me. Also people seem to get nicer every year - or they have just gotten used to me by now
Some of my personal observations:
- It was HOT on Thursday and Friday
- Quiky is actually a really, really nice guy
- Viper only seems to like chicken nuggets and fries
- The scenic drive was awesome, we should do something similar next year
- MWF has become the Ringmeet grillmaster and master of ceremonies - and don't you dare ever getting into the way of his planning of things or disrupt his plans! He won't be afraid to break the law to get what he wants
- BBQ was great, dinner on Saturday was as good as last year (actually it was almost the same menu)
- Wasps... lots of them
- Trying to cool drinks in the river was hopeless. So next year I will bring my XXL cooling box, because the inability of cooling drinks seemed to be the biggest issue this year
- Almost everyone tried to eat their BBQ stuff from a cardboard plate while standing, while all the benches and tables remained unused
- Not sure if I will bring my docking speakers for the iPod again, since everytime I started playing some music, someone switched it off or turned the volume down...
- Campfire idea still needs to be worked on. Most people simply didn't give a shit about it...
- Ringmeet Award ceremony was awesome
- We still need more volunteers to organize and do things, instead of just sitting and standing around, doing nothing...
- Where was Dino all the time????
- Where was Adrian all the time???
- People now bringing their babies and parents with them - new trend?
- Campsite owner taking really good care of us
And a personal remark: I brought a bottle of Scotch. It was empty on Sunday. That's fine but if I ever find out that someone misused it for mixing, I will personally choke them next year
