I'm considering getting a used RX-8 myself, incidentally.

Back to rotaries!!

The car that started it all, the NSU R080.

The engine could rev over 10,000rpm and develop more than 900hp unrestricted. Out of a naturally aspirated 2.6 liter. Stick that in your hp/l pipe and smoke it, Mitsubishi.

Rotaries pollute the enviroment, which is bad.
Pollution make environmentalists angry, which is good.

Car manufactures should therefore make all of their engines rotary designed.

That almost happened, but then the '70's happened. Now we are left with only Mazda. What a tribute to the genius Felix Wankel huh?

With no materials being developed/discovered, the rotary could very well become more efficient than the piston engine. Although part of me wishes that won't happen because I like how unique and rare they are.

If that doesn't make you want an RX7, then you don't have a soul and aren't worth trying to save.
