Nice find, but is it actually legal to sell a license plate in the UK?

I think it is. We don't have very strict rules on them and I think in this case it can be clearly argued that it is not going to be used to clone a car. Anyway its so easy to buy legal numberplates for any car without any proof of ownership.

NB; I should point out that there is an ownership document that exists, so you can't just buy some physical plates and have a new numberplate, you have to tell the DVLA what car it is going to be on.

Came in expecting to hear he'd crashed again. This news makes me sadder.

This. Especially since it's been rebuild from the ground up I thought he'd keep it forever. At least that's what I'd do.

ok, the first one wasn't a complete rebuild, but the damage was substantial!
