UF has announced plans to build a modern day version of the iconic 1967 Porsche 911 Targa.

Drawing inspiration from the past, the Roadster features a retro roll bar, a two-piece roof (made from carbon fiber), and a canvas rear section with a three-layer polyglass window.

Power is provided by a six-cylinder boxer engine which produces 294 kW (400 PS /394 hp) or 412 kW (560 PS / 553 hp) in turbo guise. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, but a double-clutch gearbox and all-wheel drive are optional.

Available next year, the RUF Roadster will be priced from ?195,000 ($274,705 USD / ?171,210).

:w00t:I think it looks awsome!

^You high son? :p

I like the old one better, a more restrained front bumper would be better imho.

Another 911? ... Okeeeyy..

In the way that is has 4 wheels, yes, otherwise, no. The Carrera GT has all different proportions, lines etc.

I really like that concept, but it is bloody expensive (200.000?). Maybe a future collectors car, and I prefer cars that are driven...as well, it needs a fancier colour than white to work :)

Looks just like the old one: flimsy. Never liked targa's, never will.

Lot's of old retro stuff coming back in I see... First Porsche themselves bring back the ducktail and Fuchs-style wheels with the Sport Classic, then they bring back the Speedster. Now Ruf, offers an old school Targa, not just the super-big-sliding-sunroof-"Targa" that Porsche themselves are offering. And Ruf being themselves engineering quality in this should be just as good as the factory cars. I can easily see lot's of rich people lining up to buy these...

I dislike the bumper very much. The rest of the car is very good looking though.
