GERMANY'S high performance sports car-maker, RUF-Automobile, is to set up a joint venture factory in Bahrain. It will be the first car manufacturing plant in Bahrain and the Gulf. The new company, RUF-Middle East (RUF-ME) will manufacture cars at a factory near the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), Sakhir.

I always thought the name 'RUF' sounds so un-cool

What i always ask myself: why doesn't Porsche built the cars RUF makes? Are the RUF's really better? If you know what i mean

With Ruf its way easer to customise the car to your likeing (both looks as technology). With porsche you only get to choose from the choices given.

The Choice of bahrain puzzels me a bit. Is it because of the cheap asian (india pakistan?) labour you could hire?
