Russia and Ukraine

Depends what they hit. Russia claimed to have hit a Patriot site, but they just managed to hit a launcher pad. The expensive stuff is the radar and control system, take that out and the missiles are useless.

I've seen so many reports of S400 hits, people question are they planning an offensive... but they can't because they are short of people and need a big draft, then train them, so maybe next year?

I look at the numbers every day, 1000 to 1300 Orc KIA, but that isn't enough hold the line...

Germany ordered a freeze on additional military aid to Ukraine. No money for the next few years, only aid that has already been announced is allowed to be financed and delivered!!!!!

The reasoning is, at least officially, purely from a fiscal policy point of view. That might change with the next budget. And as far as I've read in other articles, there's plenty of help for 2024 and 2025 already greenlit.

Doesn't inspire confidence.

What might make up for the lack of Taurus and shortage of Scalp/StormShadow, is the US sending the similar cruise missile, the AGM-158 JASSM

Ukraine said Tuesday that its air defence systems had downed five missiles and 60 attack drones in a second night of Russian aerial bombardments that killed four.

The overnight attacks came one day after the Kremlin launched one of its largest-ever aerial attacks on Ukraine that battered energy facilities and left several dead.

The air force said on social media Tuesday morning that Russia had launched a total of 91 projectiles including 10 missiles and 81 Iranian-designed attack drones from several regions of Russia.

US accuses China of giving ‘very substantial’ help to Russia’s war machine

In exchange, China is getting top secret Russian military technology.
"The capabilities that Russia is providing is support in areas where previously they had been frankly reluctant to engage directly with China," Campbell said. "We are concerned about a particular number of military arenas where there appears to be some determination to provide China with greater support.
"That has to do with submarine operations, activities of aeronautical design, including stealth; that also involves capacities on missile capabilities," he said.
According to Campbell, the new technologies that Beijing is receiving will pose a danger not just to the U.S., but also to India, Australia, Japan and South Korea "if China was able to receive greater engagement from Russia in perfecting certain military capabilities."
