Season 14 720p rips - Only 5.1 Surround sound on the first episode?

I'm panicing here!
I've only got 5.1 sound on episode one, rest is stereo.
Is it just my season pack thats affected?

Don't like the thought of BBC "just saving a few quid" on not including it on the rest...

Unfortunately, it is in stereo. There has been talk about this in the forums, however a quick search couldn't find the exact topic/place.
Shortly- no 5.1 for TG, even in HD

The only thing using the extra channels was the BBC lady at the end talking about what's coming up.

I don't see the point of 5.1. It wasn't filmed with 5 microphones, so your software can easily create a center channel using the L and R channels, just as the people at the BBC would do.

I really wish more people would use multiple channels even for regular old stereo talking with music in between.
Move the music to left front, right front, LFE. Voiceovers to center. Regular talking and recorded audio to center/left front/right front depending on where on the screen it happens.
That way you get decent music plus the ability to control how loud the talking is compared to everything else at home depending on your setup.

Its not a disaster, i got Dolby Pro Logic.
However i'm quite the audiophile and therefore have the urge to use all my speakers discretely ^^
I really hope they continue to broadcast in 5.1, real 5.1 that is.
Would like to see my dear blue lamp switch on at the receiver.

If you have decent system and speakers, the worst audiomixes seem brilliant...
