Skip Barber, worth it?

There are certain carts that are more robust than others... My friend (more: his Dad) actually bought the one they have have, because its more reliable than most others... He told me, you give away a little bit of speed, but you can drive more often...
And something becoming loose is an issue all the time.

The course we were on had 30 min. rental carts, 30 min racing carts, and during the 30 min rental, he told me, they usually check/patch the thing up ;-)

First of all, if you drive a sports car and your serious about driving it well, it is NEVER, I repeat NEVER a bad idea to go to driver education. Its the single best "mod" you can do.

Goto any responsible enthusiast site and you will see people say I just got my car, whats the first mod I should do, and everyone will respond goto driver education first.

I know some people who went to skip barber and they all said it was worth it.

Everyone *thinks* they are a good driver but very few really are, and even less know how to truely control their car. With cars there is always something new you can learn.

Also what school are you looking at? I personally want to take their ultra-high performance class which is only $1400 US. You need to have taken one of their other classes to be able to take this class, unless you have previous track experience with a known organization.

And while the BMW classes are awesome, they are $5-6K and that doesnt include airfare.

i can also recomend rally school
i happened to go to finland for that about 2k euro per person for 2 days
of rallying ... learned a lot about car control, but always more to learn
