Ignition Magazine said:Are you concerned with gas prices? Want to save the world and save your wallet? Want a small car? The answer is simple: get a Smart, you damn tree hugger. But what if you want a bit of style with your green machine? The answer, once again, is Smart.
Smart will be producing a special line up of dark green metallic fortwo Grandstyles -- for the sake of simplicity, I'll just call it the Smart GS. Smart claims the CS is a combination of quality and elegance -- a touch of performance added with a touch of luxary, all while saving the earth during your daily commute. The Smart GS is available as either the fortwo coupe or cabrio, powered by a 61 bhp (45 kW) unleaded engine, or a 41 bhp (30 kW) diesel. The diesel comes with the particle filter standard.
Also available for the GS is a beige/black leather interior trim which includes leather heated seats, door trim, and storage compartments. The added audio package supports MP3's and comes with a clock and tachometer, along with a classy silver painted contrast to give the car a high-quality finish. The Smart fortwo Grandstyle starts at roughly 7,900 GBP, and the leather trim is an extra 514 quid.
I live in the US, so I haven't had the chance to get behind the wheel of a Smart of any kind, but I've heard that they're comical to drive. I'll leave the opinions up to my European friends and hope someone over there gets a chance to test one out and tells us about it.
