So I have $60,000 - what to buy?

^ You poor buggers - I thought we were ripped off but bloody hell. I bet your hospitals are clean though?
Yes, they are... Allthough last time I needed attention was after I accidentally kicked a doorstep very hard and had to wait three-and-a-half-hours to get a doctor too spend about five minutes to look at my toe and say: "If the pain doesn't go away after about three days, come back..."

And now they have got this bright idea, that they want to make money on healthcare, and thinking more about the bank balace than the actual healthcare, not to mention that this is going on in several other places within the state as well, such as the schools and the military.

^Edit: No... You can't, a second hand 996 would cost you about $70'000 or about $120'000 if you want a Turbo.

A new RX-8 is fucking $135.000 USD

^ Daft question - why do you guys vote for these loonies? Is there not a Political Party that says "we got the oil, we got the oil, we got the oil - lets all go out and buy loads of stuff". Get my vote if I were Norwegian.

If I had $60,000 eh........hmm. Maybe buy a new Camaro and slap on a centrifugal supercharger? Used C6 Corvette with the same supercharger would work also.

I didn't... I swear...

The problem is that these (The Norwegian Labour Party) have had it their way pretty much without stops since WW2. They were actually sceptical about the oil in the first place. Now of course they are worse, as tho get into administrative power they had to team up with the socialist left wing and the peasants, which is a disastrous combination. Anyway they haven't done anything good so far and will hopefully loose badly in the 2009 general election.

The party you are mentioning there ("We got oil, let's use it" Fremskrittspartiet, FrP) is actually the second largest in the coutry. I voted for them in 2005

Okay, you want speed....take $60k and buy:

1 half ton pickup truck
1 trailer
1 Panoz GT-RA

You'll have money left over and a cool track car that's fully tube framed and has an integrated roll cage already. 320hp and 2500 pounds on slicks is a wicked combination.

Steve

But can I go to work in the panoz? Because I'm definitely not driving a pickup truck every time I need to go somewhere.

How in the h***? its 90k USD in here, and i thought we had the most expensive cars in europe.

Hows a normal car, like Volvo s40 entry level? VOLVO S40 2008 1.6 (100 HV) KINETIC BUSINESS MAN. Its 26700 euros in here = 39k USD.

You guys also have these taxes if you build a car from a kit?
Yes. You have to pay the taxes when you register the car for road use. If you're only going to use it on track, you don't need a registration, and therefore needn't pay taxes for it other than general sales tax.

And in here you probably wont get em registered because of the weird registration policies. For race track yes.

OT:

Just joining the scandinavian cry fest

RX-8 (the 231 hp one) = 117600 USD

S40 T5 = 94000 USD

Damn, after we had some slight changes to our taxes the norwegians are actually ahead. Good on you :p
