So I'm currently snowed in...

Never snowed within 1 hour of my house in my life, but i live in sunny Australia, so that may explain it. We do get HUGE thunderstorms too, like that one that washed the Pasha Bulker (the huge ship) up onto one of the beaches. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Pasha_Bulker). <-- saw that in person, boggles the mind!!!!!

Currently it's quite warm and humid here, I've got the air conditioning on. Christmas we are expecting some rain, but still very hot. Eugh....

bah, I finally have the winter tyres on my car set to the exact right tyre pressure, and it stops freezing alltogether
I've never seen more than maybe 20 cms of snow in the same day, ever :(

what's it like to be really snowed in? what do you do? (aside from the obvious internetting/watching dvds/masturbation)

It snowed about 15 cm last night. Making the total snow at about 35 cm.
It's been warm for a week or so, so it's less than usual.

I have never been snowed in.

Godammmit, I want snow. Those photos are so cool. Never had a white christmas. This year might actually be warm on Christmas day in Melbourne though, which would be nice.

I know! It's been freezing on Christmas day for as long as I can remember, but Thursday's gonna be like 27 or something. Crazy.

It's funny that "Global Warming" seems to be hitting Germans hard (who are paranoid as fuck about it anyway), whereas all that's happening in the states is that it's getting even colder (which might be why Americans don't believe it/don't care, and keep polluting) :lol:

The answer is simple; pollution doesn't cause global warming, but rather local cooling. Pump out some more dark particles into the air above Europe, and you too will enjoy colder winters as a result of partially blocking out the sun.

I could have done without the freezing rain this morning. Rain drops were freezing to my windshield, almost immediately, as I was driving. I'm glad my commute from work is only a mile.

Why can't we just get some delightful snowfall? It's 5F and raining. Come on.
 
I wish for a hell of a lot of snow the 5th of january so i cant go to school :banana:
But if i could get some snow here in the very boring (if you look on the weather) country of Denmark at all i would bee happy :yes:
 
Man this city has fallen apart, the brilliant people at ODOT (Oregon Department of Transportation) closed I5 from 217 to Wilsonville to plow the freeway. Instead of doing it at noon-ish when it would just slow some people but be clear by rush hour or waiting until after rush hour they start doing it at 4pm and now is backed up at least 5 miles.

How do people this inept get positions like that?
 
Because anyone with half a brain would get a job in the private sector leaving the stupid for the public sector. Since the pay sucks they have to find some satisfaction elsewhere...usually by showing how powerful they are. And the best way to do that is to annoy as many people as possible for the longest possible time. Just a bunch of ?%/%&#/"&%/:-x
