What if we email the person at the BBC back and ask him how much it would cost to let us watch Top Gear. I know I would be willing to pay a subscription to be able to watch the shows. It can't hurt to ask the guy how much he would charge the site to distribute copies of Top Gear. Then it would be legal and I wouldn't have to try and get my cable company to air the BBC in the US. Just a thought

I wouldn't mind paying for subscription as well... but I am very doubtful about them doing this... plus it would need very high circulation to keep the cost affordable

It's my fault. I've misunderstood all your posts mocking Jason lately. Of course they're all good hearted comments without the slightest hint of sarcasm.

Now let's get back on topic. Where were we ? Ah, right ! the reincarnation of everythin unlikeable in the world...the BBC. :lol:

3rd option for me, I'm a cheap mofo and I admit it.

I pay for stuff, but I don't expect to pay for TV

This wouldn't happen...

I went on "at length" in a couple of threads about the economics of the situation. Unless someone is sitting on a couple of million (probably closer to 4 - 5) dollars, there is no amount of money that the BBC would take to decrease the resale value of their program to other international broadcasters. The BBC / Discovery deal alone is probably a very valuable deal, and if the BBC were to allow people on the internet to download it (especially from Discovery markets), Discovery could re-negotiate their contract with the BBC for lower prices, screwing both networks.

Give it up, there really is nothing that can be done (within the bounds of international copyright law) to allow TopGear videos to return.

And if another person suggests leaving the commercials in, im going to do this :blowup:, since TopGear doesn't have any @#$%ing commercials.

Guys.. I think it's time we just give up any hope there was of having TG torrents on this site anymore. The C&D from BBC was legitimate.

We will all still be able to get TG from mininova.org, it'll be all the same people providing it, just a different place to download the torrent file. Not a big deal for most users. :wave:

Can we just stop talking about it and calling for attention on our sources?

^aka remove the link from the first page, whoever visits this site already knows where they can find the torrents, and lock this topic, may it never be open again, and may whoever does so illegitimately be flammed upon by all other members of the top gear forum. :evil:

Ahhhh, that gets a lot of the anger out of my system, I feel a lot better. :D

let me lock it..

(hacks into finalgear.com.. goes into Top Gear forum, opens the poll. is about to push the delete button, suddenly the main doors breaks. ten gunmen come in with masks..Its the FBI... talk about some act no. ... say : you have the right to what and what and all that crap... raheel gets scared. says sorry and bribes them. no more hackin for this kid anymore.)

Sorry can't lock it. too damn dangerous.
