So after reading numerous discussion threads about Top Gear going downhill, I decided to do some stats crunching of my own.
Using the polls from this very forum (from Season 11 onwards, as the previous episodes didn't have polls), I constructed a few graphs with the feedback ratings.
The numbers speak for themselves. Please note that 14x06's votes are still subject to change.
(Caution: Large images.)
The first chart shows the review score percentages per episode. This is the most accurate graph as it accounts for the large variations in reviewer turnout.
The second chart shows the number of review score votes per episode. With this graph you can see the number of people who voted and therefore infer a rough approximation of FinalGear viewership numbers.
The third chart shows the average scores for each season, as averaged from the review score percentages for the first graph.
It seems like the overall fan opinion of top gear has gone down since Season 11, with some exceptions (notably, season starters, season finales, and specials). Season 14 is the worst performer of the 4, with the lowest ratio of favorable reviews (scores of 8 and up), as shown in the third chart. It is also the season with two episodes with ratings of 1 in the double digits (of voters).
Here's the XLS file (for maximum compatibility) with the numbers, feel free to peruse it:

This is what happens when I'm bored.
