Sony Ericsson S700i?

I'm thinking of getting this phone but want some opinions on its size/weight. Anyone here own one that can tell me how it is to carry around every day? Does its size make it a hassle after a while, or is it OK? Thanks.

andyhui01 had the k700i, not the s700. It's nice, if you want a good camera, but not worth the extra money. Get the K750i, instead. The price should be the same or even lower.

Thanks bihus, I'll look into it. The K750 does look like a good deal. Is its camera CCD like the S700? I'm primarily looking at the camera function because I don't want to carry around my bulky digi camera around.

Here in Finland the biggest and most respected technical magazine TM has good and big mobile comparison a few times a year. S700i won the test in which it participated (there were about 10 or 15 mobiles in that comparison). TM praised for example its camera and display.

Only thing that was slightly bad was the weight and size...

I have tested the phone in a shop and I put it in my pocket to see how big it is.
It's quite big, I have to say. But if it is that good, I think I could live with it.

But the K700i won a test, too. And now there's that K750i...
That would be a very good choice, a great compromise.

ARH... I would go for the k750i... its one of the best phones around, if I waited for a tad longer to buy a new phone, I might have forked out abit more to buy the k750i instead of my Samsung D500

I think you converted me to the K750i , only problem is availability in the eastern european market since I will be buying it this summer from BG. Hopefully I can find it.

you shouldn't have problems finding it over the summer... its been out in Asia for about 2-3weeks now, I think Europe isn't that slow on Mobile phones

Forget the S700 anyway... You can only have like 180 contacts... Dunno bout you guys, but currently I have more than 250 on my phone...

Not yet. They are much cheaper in the US so I will get one as soon as I get back.

How much would a 1 Gig stick be in the US?
And how much in Hongkong, btw?

In the US I can get a 1GB one as low as $102 shipped. I don't know how much they are in Hongkong as I've never been there but here in Bulgaria they are close to 300 leva which is $185.
