SPECTRE (2015)

Saw it earlier today. It's hard to rate James Bond movies because there are so many of them. It's like a TV show and this is just the latest episode. I enjoyed it. It hit all the right buttons for a Bond movie. I can't say anything is really going to stand out as an iconic Bond moment though.

I've seen, well.... most of it.

I have to find an opportunity to see the rest at some point.

Saw it a couple of days ago - really liked it.
Not much else to say really (at least without spoiling the fun from others)

They John Harrisoned Blofeld. Ugh. Overall, I'm glad Sam Mendes is giving up Bond after this one.

:dunno:

Benedict Cumberbatch's character in Into Darkness was called John Harrison, even though everyone knew all along and way before the film came out that he was Khan. The same happened with Oberhauser/Blofeld in SPECTRE.

It's lazy and dumb, especially when everyone involved denies what turns out to be a paper-thin ruse.

listening to that thing last night, I couldn't help but think it'd give me ear-cancer. and everyone over on reddit is pissing themselves like this is the second coming of jesus because radiohead. it's just two bloody songs played over each other, why would you do that? because it's artistic or something and because you're radiohead and you can do no wrong?

/rant
sorry about that, but I got fairly mad having literally hundreds of people tell the world this is supposed to be the best bond song of all time and then having to listen to this...

edit: also, what stiggie said. i mean writings on the wall is not great, but it works. i thought it wouldn't when i listened to it before, but it just does :dunno:

Yeah the Radiohead effort was lame. Certainly no better than what they used.

No argument from me there. But then with the exception of Casino Royale there hasn't been a decent Bond theme in years.

Yeeeeaaassss! :)

Felt exactly the same way!

Sam Smith beat bookies? favourite Lady Gaga to win the Academy Award for best original song for Writing on the Wall from the James Bond film Spectre.
