Don't worry, it hasn't. I actually like the looks of the V6 Mustang coupe more than the V8 looks though.

Agreed. That's what I like about the Bullitt Edition, clean and simple. No hideous fake hood scoop or other crap attached to it. If they replaced the fake chrome plastic inside it would be perfect.

i'm guessing that you've never taken the look closely at the hood on the Mustang GT with the hoodscoop have you? they're functional on the GT.

What I noticed:

The dash looks different, I don't see the squared off hood for the gauges
Lower air dam; more rounded
Headlamps: I see amber inside that mesh, possibly a 1970 BOSS style side indicator?
Mirrors: new shapes and stalks.
Scoops: check out the bunching on the camo just in front of the rear fenders, I spy an air scoop. It might just be cosmetic... or it might not.
Rear spoiler: still looks like a wing style to me, just wrapped tight under the camo.
Does that hood look a bit more bulgy than usual to anyone else?

Useless would have been a better word. The hood is ruined by the unneeded scoop, fortunately it is only an option.

it does a bit. but that could mean that this prototype is being powered by the suspected new 302 that was said to be the replacement for the outdated 4.6 and be in all base V8 models.

If they go with a 302 that would jive with the 1970 BOSS style indicator lamps peeking out from behind the mesh.

It is basically receiving the Guigaro front end. That has been confirmed.

Awesome. Every part of the Guigaro concept's exterior sans the rear is fantastic.

There have been other spyshots with side by side comparisons. It is basically the Guigaro front end slightly modified.

yeah i have o agree, that doesn't look the same at all, hope they actually do use the Italdesign front, but i'm not counting on it.

Personally i wish they would just make the car less of a boat, 3500lbs=loose

3300lbs, 350hp. If they could do that, it would be just about perfect. (Standard GT model) Then with the Cobra models....LOSE weight instead of gain it!!!

not to get too off-topic but any idea how much 5.0 Foxs weighed? I've heard everything from 2700-3300, thats a big margin, so what is it anyways?!?

Spy shots of the production 2009 Chevy Camaro and 2010 Ford Mustang GT in the same day? It's like these two pony cars have started competing for mindshare before a single one's been built. All the better for us, however, as in addition to the Camaro testers that were just caught on camera, we also get to glimpse the new Mustang GT that will arrive a year after the new bow tie brawler. Ford is playing it smart and will steal some of the Camaro's (and Dodge Challenger's) limelight with this mid-cycle enhancement when it appears in late 2009 as a 2010 model. From these spy shots, however, we can see that the changes are more than a nip/tuck. The 2010 Mustang will sport all-new front and rear fascias, so expect new headlights, a new grille, new taillights, etc. In fact, from what we can see of the high-tech looking headlights on this tester, it appears that the front-end will be carrying design cues from the Guigiaro Mustang Concept, which is a good thing.

Guigiaro front end and retro-styled Shelby GT500 rear end is what it looks like.
