it looks brilliant. i like how Audi is taking full advantage of the gallardo-derived V10
they say its mid engined.. but you can se from the overhang its just like all other audis .. it has the engine infront of the carBlaRo said:That front overhang is disgusting!
Audi always had the Strait of Gibraltar over the front wheels, but this takes the cake.

Otherwise, it looks terrific. Aggressive and sleek. (Even if the shape is like...a headcrab from Half-Life 2.)
The DTMs are much like NASCAR in the States meaning they have nothing to do with their production cousins. DTM drivers sit in what would be considered the back seat of a production car, because of the engine layout and driver seat position. All Audis have their engines infront of the front axle, the Audi A4 DTM engine is well past the front axle, making the race car a front/mid mounted engine.FATMOUSE said:The DTM cars are rear wheel drive too, I think they're front engined..

Mid-engined or not, that doesn't excuse the 3,000 acres of bodywork in front of the wheels.freerider said:BlaRo said:That front overhang is disgusting!

It's mid-engined.
You obviously don't know wtf you are talking about thinking this is anything other than a mid-engine car.BlaRo said:That front overhang is disgusting!

If the engine's in the middle, then what are they putting there? Used diapers? A flux capacitor? In-laws?
wordSoxXpupPeT said:that only means that the truck will be biger if the front is longer. and wtf is the problem with that? its not like the engine is there or anything. who cares if the front of the car isnt right against the wheels. its only more protection if you crash it into a wall at 130 mph
Chill out, I never said it was mid-engined or not (ok, it is, so there). And I just thought it looked bigger than most of the cars you've pointlessly posted there. In my eyes, it just doesn't look that balanced.Made In the USA said:You obviously don't know wtf you are talking about thinking this is anything other than a mid-engine car.BlaRo said:That front overhang is disgusting!

Its called a "crumble zone." Also it is what is needed to adhere to the EU pedestrian safety laws. What would you want and overhand like a VW Vanagon. By the way, this doesn't mean that there is much weight in front of the front axle.
First; I never asked if you what is was. Second; If you do know what one is then why this...BlaRo said:And yes, I know wtf a crumple zone is.
Well...they go hand in handBlaRo said:that doesn't excuse the 3,000 acres of bodywork in front of the wheels.
That was a joke. Please, stop scrutinizing everything I post.Made In the USA said:First; I never asked if you what is was. Third; Now you are back tracking, your "Strait of Gibraltar over the front wheels" comment is valid for front engine Audis, but you jump to false conclusions on this one, then you say it doesn't "look balanced to me" you are entitled to you opinion.
I don't see what that has to do with this, but whatever makes you feel better, I suppose.Made In the USA said:But sounds similar to your no air-jacks in racing comment.
