Fiat has only recently launched four-wheel drive versions of the Panda, which are pretty adept off the tarmac, but has another small 4x4 on the way: this is the SUV co-developed with Suzuki, to be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show this autumn and to go on sale by the end of the year. It is built on the Suzuki A-sector platform, indicating its compact dimensions, though it is said to be a good four inches longer than the current Jimny, which it will replace. It will come in five-door form only, and have full-time four-wheel drive, high ground clearance and perhaps a set of low-ratio gears as well. Engines to be used are the Fiat-GM 1.3-litre multi-jet diesel (90bhp), and perhaps a Suzuki petrol unit. Both the Fiat and Suzuki models will be built alongside each other at Suzuki's factory near Budapest, Hungary, but they are set to have different body panels, different front-end styling and different interior finishes. A larger 4x4 is also on the way for Fiat: in Suzuki form, this will be the replacement for the Vitara, and will also share its underpinnings with other GM products, including 4x4s for Opel/Vauxhall (Frontera replacement).

That's the one I saw! Not the 4x4 version tho, lemme explain, I went to San Antonio last weekend and saw 5 cars they don't sell in the states. I saw TWO of those FIATs and was like, "Hey! That's a FIAT!" I knew it cause of the Gear shows :D I saw a VW Polo, a PEUGEOT (sp?), and a some Chevy they sell south of the border. They were all nice surprises, cause I never see ANY of those in Houston :D

WHAT do you want with that car? It's rubbish in the city (altough you can drive over curbs now) and it's rubbish in terrain (I wonder if it can go through a puddle of mud)

I was interested in the Panda because they drove it in TG and I was wondering if it is any good. So I decided to test it. When I went to Fiat dealer, the guy let me drive that car without even checking my license or ID! "Drive half an hour and bring it back", he said. Oh man, I could have stolen it very easily. Maybe the dealer thought that no one will steal that piece of shit.

Panda wasn't so good to drive, it was kinda wobbly. And it has also too tight cockpit for me.

I can't say why this 4x4 would be any better. Well, maybe there's more grip, or something. But still everyone should avoid it.

Uhhh. It hurts my testicles just to look at the damn thing. Fiat should drop this small car stuff already. That's just horrible. Who would like to be seen driving that?
