The Jaguar XK's replacement will be called... XK. Latest spy photos of the sleek new 2+2 coupe, caught out whilst Jaguar prepares publicity material for its launch, clearly show the "XK" badge on its tail. Looking very similar to the cleanly-styled ALC - advanced lightweight concept - show car we saw at the Detroit and Geneva motor shows, it is built on a version of the XJ saloon's aluminium body structure. It'll be fitted with the new 4.4 V8 as used in the latest Range Rover, good for 180 mph and 0-60 in less than five seconds; supercharged R versions - giving a good 400 bhp - will follow.

Gorgeous.

Not the back, but the front headlights look like the old DB7's...

I know I'm being picky, complaining about such a beautiful car, but I think they messed up with the rear headlights... :bangin:

Yeah! Squinty ass!!!

Oh, and can you guess who drew it ? Henri Fisker ... the now "on his own" designer that drew the DB9 and AMV8.

I hate the front of it. :yucky:

The front is bland, the rear is too fat, the rear lights are a mess, the hatch is too Aston Martin-ish... Actually, if I didn't know better, I'd say it's a new Hyundai coupe. Just a poor combination of elements, without an identity of its own.

the only thing I like about it is the tail... it seems to have so much class...just like every jaguar, it just matches well in a hotel driveway

I thought Ian Callum designed the Jag. I thought he also designed the DB9 (but not the AMV8). Though I guess I'm not really sure...

^

would like to see the R version (probably the XKR) they will make with this one
