Spy Shot: Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Still heavily disguised, and still some way off: the all-new W204-series Mercedes-Benz C-Class saloon will be launched in autumn 2007 in time for the 2008 model-year. Estate versions will follow a year later. The new C is intended to be much sportier, and much more of a driver's car, in a bid to win back buyers lost to the ever-popular BMW 3-Series. It will feature the latest M-B engine technology, including an electronic valvetrain with no camshaft and direct-injection petrol systems; there are also likely to be turbocharged petrol engines.

That car looks like it had been driven through a gang war, bullet holes and armor plates everywhere.
It's hard to say anything because it's so well masked but it looks way bigger than the current c-series and that's a good thing. You can fit two adults to the front seats a golfback to the boot and half a teenager to the back and it's full. Current C-series is a dwarf's car :D
 
I can't relly give judgement cuz i can't tell what the hell what it could look like...

BTW what does " It will feature the latest M-B engine technology, including an electronic valvetrain with no camshaft and direct-injection petrol system" mean...? techincally wouldn't it be able to fail more cuz its more technology baseed
 
^ It means exactly what it says...nowhere in that statement was the claim that it was more reliable than old, mechanical components...it just says it's using "the latest Mercedes-Benz technology"

i cant wait for the next c-class... i am waiting for it to come out.. i am planning on getting the next generation C

Well remember how much of a mini S-Class the current C-Class was when it came out in 2001? Well, it should look like a similar and smaller version of the new S-Class due for debut in September>> http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2240

One thing i'v noticed with this new C is that there is no front or rear bumper attachments so to speak. Its like the car is all one part..ya know what i mean :bangin: .

From what I heard, the C-coupe (CL) has stopped production in the US due to low sales.

it's obvious they're taking the CLS design direction... almost the same side profile. And never mind the looks, they should put much more effort in the dynamics dept. if they're to beat BMW at their own game... Will be interesting to see how this duel turns out as the 3 series is losing its "handsomeness" and the C class getting prettier

If this is the Impian your speaking of, yes, it looks similar :shock: . But it looks more like a A6 to me. It also reminds me of the old Maxima (nissan)




The C coupe also looks a bit like the Accord Euro :eek: . Not a bad thing..just copied ya know
