Spy Shot: Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new petrol engine line-up - to include the new camless and direct-injection units - is thought to include 1.8-litre (150 bhp and 190 bhp), 2.5 V6 (210bhp), 3.5 V6 (270bhp) and an AMG-ed 5.4 (400bhp-plus to take to the Audi RS4 and BMW M3). Diesels will include a new 3.0-litre.

The saloon is expected to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2007, with sales following later in the year; new-generation estates are due a year later.

Although it will share more of its components than before with the larger E-Class, the next C will be much sharper to drive and more distinctive as a range in its own right: M-B is to position it as a true small sports saloon, rather than simply a smaller answer to the E.

Well remember back to the release of the old C-Class and think of how much of a baby S-Class it was...thats what this one will be like I bet. The new engines can hopefully topple BMW's lineup.

Yeah, I was just kidding.......but those holes on the car body do look like bullet holes made by Arnold Schwartzenneger in Terminator 4 or something :lol:

From what I heard, the C-coupe (CL) has stopped production in the US due to low sales.

It looks huge compared to the old one! First picture of the front with all that cammo and machine gun bullets reminds me of an old Firebird, for some wierd reason. :shock:
