Seat's latest Toledo, an MPV-like hatchback, has failed to make much of an impact among family car buyers - not least because it is so similar to the Altea compact MPV. The only real difference between the two cars is that the Toledo has more boot space. To emphasise this advantage further, Seat is working on a version with even more load-lugging capacity; this picture shows a Toledo with a longer wheelbase and extended boot, more of a traditional station wagon than an MPV.
The car is undergoing final winter testing, suggesting that a production version is not far off. Given that the Vel Satis-style new Toledo has not been a success, it's also possible that Seat may be considering returning to making a conventional Toledo saloon as well.
