Japanese magazines are calling it the "poor man's Porsche".

I see the reference to the old 240Z before any Porsche similarities.
Will wait to see one in person before making final judgement.
 
I think it looks fantastic! I don't see any Porsche similarities other than both are sporty coupes, that's about it. I think it should be lumped in with the Mustang GT and the next Camaro as everyday-driveable sporty coupes.

Wow, that looks like a child's drawing of a snake head. All that picture really says though is that red isn't its best color. That dark grey from the older pictures is much better; I'd like to see if it's any good in blue. Overall though the shape is nice and lithe, much more 240Z-ish. I'd rather have this than the slightly too blocky and chunky 350Z.

Yeah...that front bumper really looks like something you'd find in a video game where they didn't have the rights to exactly copy the 350, so they vaguely copied it and added a random "sporty" body kit.
 
The front bumper looks messy, however the profile looks fantastic.

The side profile reminds me of the Z cars of old, which is really not such a bad thing. Shame they decided to ruin the lights. That design sort of worked on the Maxima, but looks like crap on the 370z.

Not to mention that rear window "kink" is familiar -- I first recall seeing it on the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2 years ago.

Is that what the world has come down to -- copying Hyundai design elements?

I want to like the 370Z but I turned down the 350z because it was too heavy and underpowered for its weight. There was a time I lusted after the track version but I don't think I'd be happy with it today. I really hate to say it but the Genesis Coupe may be the better alternative <shudders>

It's got a wide ass also. I like it, and a bit of aftermarket parts will make it look amazing now if only it's as good as a 911? :p
 
Looks better than the GTR.... I'm not a hge fan of those front lights though. Hope it comes with a turbo and a proper manual.
 
I like it :| Apart from those preposterous door handles, of course.
Now cue some irritating drum and bass!
 
I've cracked it. Here's something that I really dislike about it, and it's the window line/size. Here's a really quick photoshop to show you what I'm on about. Original on the left, better (in my mind) version on the right.

:think: i like how it looks originally. the smaller window only makes it look retarded. i think a bigger window would be nicer!
