My third company car is finally home

Appropriately rainy April 1st too as you can see it's yet another boring business appliance.
The 16km include the drive home, and it even came with a full tank instantly doubles the value, these days...

Unlike the 2er, this one knows its own colour... but has the wrong wheels, interior, mirror caps, and accents

Like the 2er, the engine is also made of plastic The wrap-around hood is massive, those two gas struts are necessary.

Speaking of plastic, it came with a fancy 3rd key:

Optional 4th key isn't compatible though

Completely sensible daily driver & long-distance hauler That's with the boot in the roof-open position... there is no other position.

Also, company car? You guys have some very lenient rules on what you can and can't order apparently.
Over here it usually has to be PHEV or full EV (because taxes) and must have 4 doors, nothing too flashy colour wise, needs a big boot (so that if you leave the company they're not stuck with something that can't easily be shifted to someone else)
Good to see you logical thinking Germans don't give a crap about any of this and let you order a purple M sport convertible :O

As @DanRoM said, it depends.
Legally / tax-ally, it doesn't matter. I pay income tax based on some flat calculation, and while electric cars do get a nice discount there I didn't spot a suitable electric car for my needs, nay, wants.

Colour choice is completely open since I changed our rules in 2016. There is no restriction on model choice. It used to be VAG only, but with more cars in the company that limitation removed itself... I believe my 2er was the second or third non-VAG, by now we have a potpourri of brands. Plenty VAGs, some BMW/Mini, some Teslas, at least one Merc, maybe more.
Depending on your individual agreements there can be a limit on cost... In my case there is no specific limit, it's part of the compensation negotiations.

Welp, those were short three weeks / 2000km... Over a month ago I stopped at a roundabout due to traffic, a lady behind me didn't... Until she did, abruptly.
The powers that be decided it's not getting fixed, lease is being terminated and the remains are heading back to BMW. New order is pending processing at my company, I basically went "one more of the same, please".
