I was just watching some old Top Gear episodes, when I came across the 06x09 episode with Chris Evans in the Liana. Chris Evans is my favourite guest on the show, so I thought I'd watch the whole "interview/lap" thing.
Then when they showed the lap, I noticed this:
Through T1 his left side window is closed, but in T2 it's open, like it is through the hammerhead. Then in T4, it's closed again, and open in the penultimate and the ultimate corner.
How can this be? Are the Top Gear editors really just fooling us and showing clips from different laps?

I think they show a highlights of the laps that they did.

I mean look at rory bremner's lap - you think spontaneously did the murray walker impression on the best lap? or every single lap?

he may just be hitting the window button by accident :p

Heh, I don't think so :p
Well, then JC's comments and the lap it self is actually just crap, showing their best cornering skills :(

It's like those stupid TG races (S4 vs CTS-V; Atom vs CBR; Murci vs EVO). Everything in TG is a joke.

It is entertainment. Give it a break. They get the best laps but show you the more thrilling pieces. Leave it alone. I like it :).

Oh yeah dont even try and talk bad about TG or else you will get crusified.
But feel free to bitch and moan about FG all you want.

TG is funny and entertainment but it's full of shit aswell.

FG is more real then TG.

You've got a point there.

It's a pity though, cause you don't know if you can trust them when they do a serious test :/

I tend to believe that the best lap time is just that. But that the lap we see is an edited together job.

If you care ;) Go and watch the SLR when Stig drove it around. The numberplate changes!

You're right, It went from yellow (British?) to white (German) :?

:|

Sure, it's highly edited, with scenes mixed together from different laps and the Stig's music dubbed in, but it's a lot more fun to watch than FG.

No different than watching a recorded "live" music concert.
