it may look rhd bc the steering wheel is on the right but it was lhd.

Wow, it's amazing that the driver survived this crash! Even more so because the EVO doesn't have sidebags... :shock:

Couple of things...

Take it to the track (obvious but I speed all the time...)

Don't rely on airbags.
Wear your seatbelts (saved my life once already).

When he was driving at the high rate of speed he lost control and the driver?s side of the car hit a tree.

Phone poles & lamposts can be engineered to collapse and absorb the energy of a crash but trees have a bad habit of being firmly set into the ground and not give at all.

Speedy recovery to the driver and passenger. They are lucky to be alive.

Accidents like that happen with perfectly sensible law abiding drivers. I'm not defending driving fast, but this 'breaking the law = dying horribly' implication i'm not going to back. you see people doing 100 around a built up town, and there are people that do 100 in good conditions on empty motorways.

100 is only 30 over the speed limit our grand parents would drive at, so let's not knee-jerk to 'keep it on a track' stuff. So many millions of cars, bad accidents happen. I hope they're ok, though i imagine even if they are there will be lasting effects.

there arent many trees that you can just hit on the motorway, so my guess is he hit a tree on the highway. and there 100 is almost twice the speed limit, which isnt cool imo.
