I decided it would be interesting to make a list of mobile phone support software that doesn't suck. I've tried Sony (as then was), Sony-Ericsson, Samsung, and LG.

Here's my list of the decent application software I've had so far:

I thought Nokia PC Suite was the worst piece of software ever created.

Then I tried Kies.
 
We have Nokia PC suite on a large number of machines here, it's actually pretty reliable. We tried the Ovi suite once, what a bloated piece of crap that is!

Activesync 4.5 was/is rubbish, was very unreliable when I used it for my old WinMo HTC.
HTC Sync is crap, has never worked at all for me.
Samsung sync software never worked properly when I had one of their phones, friends can confirm it's still garbage.
Sony Ericsson software was reliable when I used it a couple of years ago, but was quite bloated.

I just use Exchange push/IMAP email and when I plug the phone in to my PC I only ever set it to 'card reader' mode to access the SD.
