Team America: World Police

'Team America: World Police' - the new film by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone - comes out in North America on October 15th. Is anyone else planning to go see it?

I've been eagerly awaiting this movie ever since there were rumors that Matt and Trey were working on a Thunderbirds-style marionette movie. I love nearly everything they've worked on - South Park is by far the best cartoon on the air right now and has some of the most pointed political and social commentary you'll find on television.

I?m probably really biased, but I think this is going to be the funniest movie of the year. Anyone else as excited as I am?

Here, Here, i've anticipated the trailer and it didn't let me down. I can almost see the American audience applauding the "World Police" trough my biased European eyes. I still hope that the axis of weasels get their fair share too.

I think you need to watch South Park again. It's more social commentary than swear words now - it actually has been since the third season (think Sexual Harrasment Panda, Chinpokemon, Hooked on Monkey Phonics).

Recent episodes have tackled social phenomenon like anime, Mel Gibson lol, steroids and Michael Jackson (like Bone mentioned) in an absolutely hilarious and pointed manner - I'd say their commentary is more effective than just about any other media source.

What other show had the balls\knowledge to portray Mel Gibson, right in the wake of 'The Passion', as the violence-obsessed schizophrenic dingbat that he really is? :lol: I'm predicting Team America: World Police is going to be just as pointed and hilarious - I'm counting down the days.

(If you're looking for information on this movie, do not go to the IMDB forum for this movie - you will literally lose brain cells just reading the mindless rants in there)
