Test Drive Unlimited 2: Wanna get dirty?

The biggest problem with this game is the handling. The car feels very unnatural. I would say avoid it even if it's only $10. It's not an enjoyable game.

Bump.

I recently reinstalled the game. Why you might ask? Well, apparently the modding community was busy in the last year. Just a few of the many (100+) new additions:

Of course, physics are still shitty, but at least now I can tolerate it because of the awesome cars :)

Those are some amazing looking models, a shame I only have it for the Xbox so I can't have car mods. My brother bought it on Steam about a month ago though. For $20 maybe...?

Those all look like vehicle models from Forza, no?

You know, I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit. The mix of the single player, having to earn money, unlock things, build a quite nice garage, and the fact that you were actually driving around where other people were too, that was quite nice.
The fact it made me log in every time I played the game and that it's basically some sort of car MMO made me assume that the savegame was stored server-side. My cars would be there the next time I logged in no matter what, like in any other MMO.
Wrong.
I had to format and reinstalled the game. When I went back in, it was all gone. My log in was the same, my password was the same, just nothing to show for all the hours I had played already. When I contacted support they told me very politely that they had nothing to do with it, the savegame is local.

And that's why I don't plan on ever playing TDU2 again.
