Like this, with no spaces:

Code:
[YOU TUBE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiD6G5MGntM[/YOU TUBE]

[YOUTUBE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiD6G5MGntM[/YOUTUBE]

I used the function from the menu but maybe I just took the wrong link (the embedded one)
I try again without the blanks but the right address
[YOUTUBE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiD6G5MGntM[/YOUTUBE]

So it wasn't the space but the link. but thanks for the help anyways

now to get the picture working: is there an issue about certain websites blocking the integration in a post and what is that about hotlinking?

Some places don't want the interwebs pounding their bandwidth limits when someone posts a pic from their podunk local website to an audience around the world. So, limits can be placed so that you're only supposed to see the image when you're on THEIR site. Good etiquette is to re-host the image yourself somewhere. Photobucket works, or phyrefile or whatever it's called (never been able to get it to work for me...but I've been using photobucket for years) Stealing someone's bandwidth is called "hotlinking."
