Contenders are:

Schumacher VS Alonso (Imola 2005)

Senna VS Alesi (USA 1990)

Mansell VS Senna (Spain 1986)

Schumacher VS Wurz (Monaco 1998)

Villeneuve VS Didier Pironi (San Marino 1982)

Arnoux VS Villeneuve (Dijon 1979)

Raikkonen VS Montoya (Germany 2002)

Youtube vids are in the link. Obviously Villeneuve-Arnoux is winning but actually I think the Villeneuve-Pironi one is even better, as it's a race long battle to the line...what do you guys think?

"Of all time" and there's only one before 80's?

I'm not all that knowledgeable about F1, but the Arnoux VS Villeneuve (Dijon 1979) video has always been one of my favorites. :)

No, Villeneuve wasn't even trying. It wasn't so much of a battle, since Villeneuve thought that Pironi would stick to the pre-race agreement and let him win the race.

My fav is either

Arnoux v.s Villeneuve @ French GP

or Schumacher v.s Hakkinen @ Spa

I would choose H?kkinen vs. Schumacher

Not because it's H?kkinen and I know it's just one pass... but the whole battle started way back when H?kkinen managed to loose controll of his car and had to catch up to MSC.
Tried to pass once, failed.
Tried to pass a second time, failed.
On the third try there was a guy in a white car in the mix.

One of the best overtaking i have ever seen Live on TV.
