The 2020 elections, news, and discussions

Of course he would. Guess that's who the 175 American Samoans will vote for come November. :ROFLMAO:

Something something Anita Hill.

Because Joe Biden is such a good guy.

Something something grab them by the... covering up his maids abortion... paid to keep an affair with a pornstar while his wife is pregnant... vs Joe compromising with the opposing party and admitting he gave her a raw deal.

Hervis Rogers, the last man to vote at the polling station located at Texas Southern University – one of the nation’s largest historically black universities – the wait ended up being nearly seven hours.

Why in a modern democracy does it take that long to vote? Voter suppression.

Because they want voting to be inconvenient so most don't bother.

Warren is out.

For a second Warren supporters had me joining Twitter to scream at the void. They were like "oh she should be in the cabinet" Are you taking stupid pills? The Gov of Mass is REPUBLICAN! Fucking idiots wanting to give away Senate seats.

When Bernie says "I'm not funded by the billionaires and millionaires" is he deriding the candidate for taking more than the $2,800 federal limit or just that there are people with money?

It is the money behind the scenes, PACs mostly.

Hate the game not the player. McCain–Feingold was bipartisan and well received by the public with only the most cynical of politicians attacking it (McConnell). Pass new laws. Use the decisions by supreme court as templates to better legislation (even Scalia used to say this). You don't want money in politics don't rely on one popular person to save you. Just the same one guy with money doesn't a candidate make (Bloomberg)

Citizen United changed everything. It is also hard to write a law to go around a SCOTUS decision.

Yeah Citizens United overturned McCain–Feingold and McConnell v FEC was the first case they heard against it but upheld McCain–Feingold only to undo it in Citizens. Though more or less Bloomberg proved them kinda right that the public doesn't necessarily listen just because you have money.

It's not hard and there are much smarter legislative aids than me. One) Yes Union and Corporate money are speech. We can't take away their ability to spend that money on speech so... Two) The fairness doctrine was never overturned... We can limit their access to what platform.

Maybe it is hard, boo hoo, that what were paying them for. But here's the rub even if some bulging brains in the house came up with a plan, you need the Senate, and the President on side. I don't think you get to that place with Bernie.
