Beds are burning is a fantastic song, I remember when it came out, I listened to it over and over and over again, it is also in my first post...;)

Gyroscope - Breed Obsession, great album. I haven't heard any of the other tracks, but that entire album is full of win.

Just found this thread, and it seems that the greatest rock singer of all time has been missed. This guy was on a different planet, but has a deplorably small body of work. Do, do hear Everlovin' Man, but till then. I found a myspace entry, but if you look you will find their whole album "Magic Box" out there for download. (Don't confuse them with the Canadian punk band).

Still turning back the clock, and kiwis are claimed as Ozzies if they are good, ok.

Here's a vid witch looks like it was taken from a show called Bandstand that ran in the 60s. The song is called smillie, and was written about another Oz singer of the time, Normie Rowe, who was drafted into the army and served in Vietnam. Check the links to the right if you are interested in other 69 Oz bands, and why wouldn't you be.

Lets move along a bit.

Someone not mentioned, for the lover of hot rocker chicks. Someone from my home town, Perth.

I could go on and on, but there is a start.

I'd post some Hilltop Hoods, but I prefer the restrung stuff, which I can't really find a decent video of.

One of my favourite Aussie bands is 'Pendulum' from Perth.

I know it doesn't really fit in with the rock genre I've seen here. But it's great music.

^ Oh man, I love Pendulum! Yeah they are technically an Australian group even though they're now based in UK.

Here's a couple of singles from their latest album In Silico:

Shame I can't find any of their classics like:
 • I'm Interested In Apathy
 • Get Thee To A Nunnery
 • If You're Creative, Get Stuffed
 • I Shit Me
 • The Fosters Car Park Boogie
 • The Mordialloc Rd. Duplicator

I am a MASSIVE Crowded House fan and was so, so thrilled when they got back together. My dream impossible gig was to see them play the Corner in Richmond and amazingly two days after seeing them play Live Earth I got to go to that very gig and it was magic. Really looking forward to their shows at the Forum in December.

The Presets are my favourite Australian band. I don't like many more, sadly- I just can't find any that interest me :(

At my school dance, we were singing to "My People" and "Talk Like That", and everybody was toing the "na-a-ah" and 't-t-t-talk" bits- it sounded brilliant :D
