The Aviation Thread [Contains Lots of Awesome Pictures]

Actually, those IronKey keys just recently got the SHIT owned out of them by a really damned basic security flaw. The government is not happy.

Yes, but it looks awesome. And it has a LM logo on it.

I don't think you could.. It's not possible! Beauty, power, speed.

Does it say that on the flight console when you put the key in? :D

Runways? Where we're going we don't need...runways.

Kajun, you love posting videos of aircrafts taking off in incredibly short distances don't you? :p

Takeoff distance is the aircraft equivalent to 0-60 times...I think.

If so then the C-130 is this thread's Veyron.

You joke, but imagine just how very cool that would be if that were the case.

^my sister's comment when i showed her the pic

"2 planes? and only 1 pool?"

Saw a new picture of the 747-8etc. Looks a bit strange from this angle.

So this little thing must be the equivalent of a Top Fuel Dragster then :)

That's just bonkers, it lands and takes off in less than 2 plane lengths

The strangeness... I can't see it... Remember it's a freighter, so there's no row of windows downstairs. Also, there's no need for the longer upper deck of the Intercontinental (Stretched -300 or -400) version.

Speaking of 747-8, who is actually buying the things?

Depending on the headwind, those things can actually take off backwards... haha.

^ I remember playing around in Flight Simulator and turning the wind up to maximum for the Cub. I couldn't keep it on the ground.

I've taken the first small step towards my goal of being a pilot - Booked in my first flight lesson today
