The Aviation Thread [Contains Lots of Awesome Pictures]

Thinking of vectoring these mockups of mine into real shirts, any comments?

Looks pretty cool!

How would it look with all three of them as top-down views?

Or pick any view of the standard 3-view.

That was my initial idea, but i could only find partial A10 top down views and no C130 proper top down views, only the B52 has the one and that was from a drawing that i got that

Wikipedia has them, though they are a bit low-res and just bitmaps.

Saw those, decided against them, since i wanted detail inside the pics, not just a silhouette

Fair enough. I was envisioning something like one of those silhouette recognition posters from WWII that didn't have any detail within the outline.

I thought of that, but with the detail they look so much better imo.

I prefer the first version, but if i could find properly decent images/drawings of a top down i may decide to switch, still have to find a decent printer locally

Sorry for repost, but GOOD NEWS, i found a place that's close to my house that does printing, starting from about 10$ including shirt i think. Going to pay them a visit tomorrow and hopefully vector the design.

You sound like Prof. Farnsworth in my head.

Haven't committed to any design, so i can do more, will look at that sight for sure, i can fill it in in black and white outline the blueprints, it will look epic D: Or a blue shirt with white vector.

edit: Not the best of resolutions, but good top views, thought i like the current placement of the planes, maybe if i decide to do a blueprint shirt i'll go that way

A10 vector done \o/ kept the number of details low since it's not going to be a very large image considering the other two on the shirt

You know what's cool about that design? You get the aerodynamics of a retract (almost) without the retract (weight, complexity, point of failure, etc.).

the main advantage i see is that the wheels are another set of wings, and thus keeping the main wingspan down...
that plane looks like it would fit in a standard 2 car garage

Plus it's basically unstallable since the canard stalls before the main wing.
