The team:

2003 Fairlady Z w/VQ35DE

The players:

1. NISMO Weldina Cat-back exhaust system
2. Top Speed Pro-1 Race pipes (Non-Resonated)
3. Custom NISMO Short ram intake (with nismo filter and piping)
3. Wide open throttle accerlation with my right foot

Yes...
Anyone who has this set up will agree that the noise NISMO Weldina cat-back exhaust + test pipes makes is absolutely heart stopping!

What does it sound like?

Now, take a nice walk around Hollywood if you are on the West Coast or around Miami beach if you are on the East Coast on a beautiful sunny afternoon; grab a nice Starbucks Americano coffee then enjoy it at the outside seating area. Just wait for ten minutes and you will hear an exhaust noise that is so sharp that it actually makes your ear drums BLEED. Yes it is the sound made by the Ferrari V8 a la Ferrari 360 Modena/Spyder.

Now put this in the correct perspective - THIS exhaust job is the closest you will come to that great exhaust symphony directed by the soul of the legendary Enzo Ferrari for under $2500 dollars!

Alright, enough of the magazine styled writing!\

FAQ:

Q: That the exhaust have any rasp?
A: No and yes. During WOT acceleration with non-resonated race pipes, no. When you hit fuel cut off, a little bit of rasp.

Q: How does the butt dyno feel?
A: Definately gains, but my butt nerves were all destroyed by my JIC FLTA2 coilovers so...

Q: Is it seriously that good?
A: It orgasmically good!

Ta da!

you need to record a sound clip...the 350Z is a great sounding car stock so i cant imagine how it sounds now

get some headers and it will scream.

imo the sound of the vq is horrible, it gets so annoying. i just dont get how people like it. it sounds fake.

VQ sounds more like a kitchen appliance than a motor.

You should really think about registering on a Z forum. 99% of people here don't own Zs and don't modify thier cars.

And we all have something against carbon fibre wings.

Unless, of course they are on a track use only race/drift car, that truly needs it. Wings belong on race cars, for road use the best is always keeping the looks as close to stock as possible. That way it's more fun seeing the look on the "tuners" faces when you leave them way behind.

lol im on my350z.com
fyi ;)

We have a customer at the Nissan dealer I work at who has a NISMO cold air intake and exhaust. Revved up in the shop, it was the sexiest exhaust noise Ive heard in while. Only old Dodge V8's at 7,000 rpms and Ferraris could top it.

I bet AM V8 can top it too :p

^^^ Not just Engrish .... Numberish (Numerish?) too. j/k.

The 350Z really does need the Nismo Weldina exhaust. The stock exhaust note sounds like a washing machine on its spin cycle.

If you are going to go through the trouble of putting on headers, you should get cams and ECU from JWT. I would also recommend adjustable timing gears and maybe bigger injectors. If you still have money left, you can get a mild port/polish job on the head and intake runners.

1. Record a sound sample, pictures are useless. It's like recording the sound of your car to show off your body kit.

2. Do NISMO do a similar system for the 300zx? I'm considering picking up a twin turbo zx for summer so i have something without a roof. I keep hearing how good this nismo system is.

Nismo did make exhaust for the Z32(300) however you can only buy parts for new cars at a dealership(in the US anyway). You would need to import a used one from Japan. Not worth it IMO as you can get a bitchin exhaust from HKS or GReddy.

Then why keep posting Z specific questions here? Most members don't modify thier cars if they are even old enough to have one, and few if any other drive Z33s. Seems kinda dumb to me. I'm not going to jump on zilvia and start asking shit about my FC.

Hold on. Did he posted questions in another thread? I don?t see questions in this thread. Even if we don?t own Z?s or modify our cars, it?s interesting to see this kind of things, and yes I DO like the 350Z and it?s sound, so PLEASE post a sound file. It's like recording the sound of your car to show off your body kit.

VQ's are the most unusual sounding engines ive ever heard. they always sound like they are in a tunnel or something. its not bad, just weird.

Looks sweet, I too want to hear some noise from it. I am confident it will be super awesome, but I wanna know how super awesome it will be.

how do i attach something?
