the rules are people must search the likes of auto trader/ebay and post links to the best car for under ?1000 ($1,739.31 usd)

based on quality, reliability, what it's worth new, performance, charisma etc.

i havent thought of some way of voting yet but im sure one of you will agree on something.
(perhaps we could run a poll after everyone has put up the nominations)

That's a good idea.

it's been done many times and it always ended up being shitty threads because of some morons posting ebay links at auction day one even though the buy it now price was WAY more than the price limit.

w1nnAr!!

I was so looking for that, but here they're still like $3.5k! :(

hard to decide!

hard to decide!

with so many superb cheap saabs available it's hard for me to single one out for a nomination (they just dont keep their value here in he uk, whether it's the same everywhere i dont know)
trust me a 2005 saab 95 2.3 HOT aero today will set u back ? 28336
but in 4-5 years it'll be ?5000 or under, my parents both drive saabs my Dad: a 1994 saab 9000 2.3 cse auto Turbo which is good for about 150mph! not bad for an 11 year old car.
and my mum: a 1998 saab 95 2.0 vector auto which can be picked up for about ?2000 or less. so i really dont understand people when i see them driving a vw passat, mondeo or any other car for that matter when you could be driving a superb executive car for far less.

i will be decide on my nomination soon

Budget is ?1000, but this costs less than $1000. Known in the UK as the Ford Sierra, nobody knew what it was in America, so now nobody wants to buy them. This is the only way you're going to get a 2.3L turbo (15psi!) with manual transmission and RWD that cheap.

You know, I'm kind of tempted to go to Oregon and get it...

update: i've bought the MR2, it's a 1989 MK1 and i'll post pics soon, im picking it up in the next few days.

also, about the RX7, my friend is selling his 1986 GXL, $1000 sounds about right, ~110k miles
