Seems a few of you guys and gals have a Blackberry so maybe we can help each other out and share some apps and other things.
Blackberry OS:
Bold 9000:
Latest OS:4.6.0.451/4.6.0.266
Curve 8900:
Latest OS: v4.6.1.231
Curve 83xx:
Latest OS:v4.5.0.124
*Feel free to add OS to the list just post them I'll try to update as fast as possible.
For install instruction to load any carrier 8900 OS on your BB:
1. Download desired OS to your PC
2. Install/run OS to PC
3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.
4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it. (Much easier because the app loader is in the same spot as the .xml file.)
5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It may take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.
*Note there have been issues with Windows 7 Beta Users having issues upgrading OS! Your safest way to install is using Windows XP.
Web Browsing:
Bolt Browser Currently a Beta, but it's much faster than the standard Blackberry Browser and Opera Mini.
