Two late-ish goals save France from beaucoup merde on the Sport?s pages tomorrow.

Good result for England away in Switzerland, who were the only team in the World Cup to beat Spain this summer.

NORWAY \o/

EDIT Wednesday:
During the playing of the two national anthems prior to any match, it is a generally accepted standard that the home team fans remain reasonable quiet whilst the away team?s anthem is being played.

Imagine the surprise of the Liechtenstein players and officials, when their anthem played, that the Scottish fans roundly booed and whistled.
Unfortunately for them, their anthem has the same music as the ENGLISH national anthem, which is universally loathed in Scottish football circles.

Today, the Scottish FA has apologised and explained to the Liechtenstein FA officials.

Well no major surprises here tonight, except the Estonian away win. Handy away win for Russia, Italy drop a couple of points maybe and Suisse should have got something out of their game.

Anyhoo, congrats to all FG members from the above countries, who got some points from the games and commiserations etc.

:)

Well our new manager is off to a good start. Lets hope it remains that way...

Though he did get a lot of help from a _lot_ of very embarrassing, stupid mistakes by some of what are supposed to be our "experienced" players. Christian Poulsen played a terrible match.

It was a deserved win though, it was about time they beat us too, with the player material Portugal has ;)

Anders Lindegaard was very good though, no wonder there's rumours about quite a few big clubs looking at him. Alex Ferguson has frequently been mentioned :)

When was the last time Christian Poulsen played a good game? I think we just have to admit that until we get a proper midfield, we will be fighting with countries like Iceland and Cypress :(
