I always like to see how many VW folks are lurking about... please vote!

My father has a Golf, which I drive regulary, but that's not mine.
I have 944, which is a Porsche but not aircooled.
On other hand 944 is basicly upgraded 924 which is almost Audi, which is close to VW, but again not exactly.

So... I didn't vote :)

oops, I forgot to hit add on that option... thanks!

I've got a 74 type 181, I used to have a vw golf though .. horrible car (badly maintained), not bad for 30 bucks though.

Oh, and somehow I came into posession of a 66 beatle modified for offroad use. No engine though. Needs new flor pans, thats another days work though.

What about he option for VAG group cars as well?

ummmmmm, yeah that would be the American pig in my shining through... LOL I will add Seat and other VAG right now!

ok, apparently I cannot fix the poll now... sorry!

I have two - 2004 New Beetle TDI DSG, 1973 Karmann Ghia. My family has one more, a 2004 Passat 1.8T estate. My girlfriend has an identical 2004 New Beetle TDI DSG. Oh, and a good friend of mine has a 2003 Passat 1.8T saloon. Oh, and my other good friend has a 2003 Jetta GLI VR6, and used to have a 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8T before selling it to buy a 1984 Mercedes 300 turbodiesel.

So yeah, there's always quite a few running around here. :)

All of a sudden, I want a Karmann Ghia...

i think that car is SOOOOO ugly

Well, thanks! :p

Personally, I think it's a gorgeous little car, certainly one of the most shapely Italian designs committed to metal. To each his own, of course, re: styling. As for it being a good car? It looks great, has a bulletproof engine and transmission that cost peanuts to run and maintain, has rugged and solid Volkswagen running gear, rear-mounted aircooled engine, front disc brakes on mine (which US market Beetles never got), decent handling, decent performance (for what it is), was completely hand-made with outstanding build quality, and gets pretty good mileage. For what it is, it's a great car. I've had mine for five years, and love it.

It's like a little Porsche 356 with cheaper parts. :D
